Jack-O-Lantern Cake  ·  For Halloween, make a jack-o-lantern cake. Press a 3/4-inch layer of Cake-Shaping Clay around the edges of the bottom of a deep, round pan. Smooth the edges down towards the center, such there is a large center well in the clay. Along the middle of the well, form a thin layer of the clay, such that at least some clay is covering all of the bottom of the pan. Make triangles of the clay for the eyes and nose, position them in the center of the pan, and smooth the edges of the triangles into the bottom thin layer. Make the mouth in a similar fashion. Spray the pan and clay with cooking spray, and pour cake batter until it is about 3/4-inch above the highest portion of the clay. Bake until done, loosen the cake from the sides of the pan, and invert the pan.
